EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

STORY / SCRIPT TITLE: The Snobby Fox

1 SENTENCE SUMMARY:
An arrogant fox realized that his jealousy of being less popular than his good friend; Chinchilla, that brought him the idea to challenge him into a race only did him no good and made him a victim of his own trap in which he escaped later by the help of Chinchilla whom he hated.

SYNOPSIS:
Fox and Chinchilla live in an animal city in the Arctic tundra. Both of them are very beautiful, and people like them because of that. The two of them became close friends after Chinchilla moved there for several months. As time goes by, people realized that Chinchilla is not only good looking, but also shares his food and he likes to help the townspeople. Because of this, the townspeople came to like Chinchilla even more than they liked the previous “star” of the town – the Fox. The Fox tries to hold his wrath, but one night, he accidentally “eavesdropped” a conversation between Peacock and Cat who actually reveals that people are starting to like Chinchilla more than him. To annoy him even more, Cat, whom the Fox fancies, thinks that Chinchilla is the better man than him. Knowing this, Fox became angrier and angrier at Chinchilla. He is jealous and he wants to be the most famous animal once more, and indirectly, prove himself in front of Cat. Thus, he decided to undermine Chinchilla although the poor Chinchilla doesn’t even feel that he is famous at all.
Fox decided to challenge Chinchilla into a race, in which he will “absolutely” win. At least he planned to. Fox came to Chinchilla’s den to challenge him into a race, in which Chinchilla accepts. The night of that fateful day, Fox literally sets a trap hole and covered them with leaves surrounding the racing track so that when Chinchilla is busy racing, he will fall into the hole instead and then automatically lose. Feeling accomplished, the Fox runs home with an utmost happiness.
At the day of the race, the Fox taunts Chinchilla a lot, but he is impervious, since he doesn’t know what Fox is trying to do to him. Fox was feeling triumphant, until he saw Cat kissed Chinchilla for good luck. By then, he became a little bit enraged, but he still managed to contain himself, until the crowd boos him. Fox gets irritated even more when he heard Cat herself chants for Chinchilla with blaring voice. At that instant, the Fox jerks and looks towards the crowd and yells at them, when suddenly he gained speed and starts to win the race. He runs hastily, forgetting about the trap, and didn’t have the time to avoid it. Thus, he falls inside it himself. When people see that, they indirectly knew Fox’ bad intentions and none of them helped Fox to get out, in order to punish him. Fox is stuck inside the hole alone for hours, until later that night when Chinchilla finally finished making a rope for Fox and fetch him out after some hours of pulling him out. As dawn breaks, Fox is finally out. But, still enraged, Fox attacks Chinchilla because he thinks that he helped him only to catch even more praises from the townspeople. The helpless Chinchilla doesn’t fight back, and he didn’t intend to, because he believes that there’s compassion in Fox’ heart, and that he’s not a bad person. Seeing Chinchilla’s sincerity, Fox’ eyes are finally opened and he fell into a deep feeling of guilt. He’s ashamed that even though Chinchilla saved him, he still attacked him. Chinchilla comforted him and tells him that it’s okay to make mistakes and that he helps him with sincere heart, because they are friends.

CHARACTER BIO (Key Characters only)
  1. Fox
He is an Arctic fox with snow-white fur and cobalt blue eyes. Fox is beautiful, and he has always been the popular one in town. He was number one until Chinchilla came. The Fox is not a bad person, but he can be jealous and very self-centered, which leads to his cunning actions. He is witty, but love makes him blind sometimes. Fox is blessed with agility. He thinks quickly, but he doesn’t act carefully.
  1. Chinchilla
Chinchilla was sort of a newcomer in the neighborhood. He has a grey furry coat and emerald green eyes. People started to praise him because he is also beautiful, just like his friend, Fox. But, he has qualities that Fox doesn’t possess. He is a shy, down to earth personality, with a kind heart. He cares about people around him, and making them happy makes him content. This polite fellow only lacks assertiveness in which he couldn’t refuse to do things he’s not sure of when being forced by his friend, like the Fox. He is just too nice, but that is his power.
  1. Cat
Cat doesn’t do much in the story, but she is one of the reasons why Fox wants to beat Chinchilla even further. She is a French feline with a beautiful golden coat and hazel eyes. Her long fur makes her look grand. This, and her unique way of speaking, are the things that captured Fox’ heart, thus making him to fancy her. Cat is a romantic personality who is very open with new things and new people.
